The Chancellor’s Call to Action Initiative aims to place our institutional values of diversity, equity, and inclusion at the heart of every aspect of what we do as a university. Core to this commitment is a $2 million research program that supports efforts to advance the understanding of systemic bias and structural disparities – some of the greatest challenges facing our society – to find new solutions.
Research Program
The goal of the Call to Action Research Program is to enhance exceptional cross-disciplinary research strengths and expand collaborations to build cultures of research and scholarship that address system bias and social injustice.
Call to Action Steering Committee
The work of the Call to Action Steering Committee, charged in Fall 2020, focused on the concrete actions that the university can take that will result in measurable and lasting structural change at the University of Illinois.
