The Chancellor’s Call to Action Initiative aims to place our institutional values of diversity, equity, and inclusion at the heart of every aspect of what we do as a university. Core to this commitment is a $2 million research program that supports efforts to advance the understanding of systemic bias and structural disparities – some of the greatest challenges facing our society – to find new solutions. The Call to Action was announced by Chancellor Robert J. Jones to the university community in July 2020.
The Call to Action Initiative at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign is administratively supported by the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion.
